Security has been beefed up in greater Masaka following the brutal killings of a number of people from the region .Despite the attempt to secure the area,another body has been found slain by the Bijjambiya men in Bisanje village bringing the tally to now 19 people so far .
The leader of opposition Mathias Mpuuga with Members of Parliament from Masaka sub region have addressed the press over the worrying security situation in their area . About 19 lives have so far been lost in the attacks masterminded by a mysterious gang that uses machetes to hack its targets
Another report came out last night that a 70 year old Annet Nampijja who lived in Kasaali village ,Masaka city was killed by machete-wielding assailants
This has caused outrage among people and have taken it on to show their dissatisfaction of the work of the police in the area .
The police however has sent experts from CID headquarters and forensics directorate in Masaka to work with available clues to get the criminal gangs in the area and they confirm the situation is under control
