Uganda has been grappling with COVID 19 for over 2 years now and with such has come the need for the economy to fully reopen but this has been challenged with low numbers of vaccinated people who are able to get the economy going.

At the centre of vaccination has been the shortage of vaccines for all Ugandans above the age of 18 years, this has however been resolved by the announcement made by Uganda’s UN representative by COVAX and African Union

Uganda is set to acquire all the required vaccines for its people through donations from its partners in African Union according to the permanent representative of Uganda to the United nations Adonia Ayebare . These are to be acquired from African Union AVAT Facility and Covax
