In 2015 Uganda was named to be the most Entrepreneurial country in Africa and the world according to Approved Index ,a UK based company .The country was recorded to have the most entrepreneurs per capita .Uganda’s economy runs on small businesses that cover over 70% of the country’s economy.This has given to rise of thousands of businesses in the country with the most popular ones mentioned below in order of popularity.

Street vendors are people who sell goods and services by the roadside without permanently building structures ese small quantities of goods but in permanent buildings of the market while market vendors also sell th .In Uganda this is recorded the 5th most popular business employing over millions of people .This has been elevated due to the low capital required to start a such a business and so it has attracted thousands of youths without jobs to capitalise on
3. Restaurants.
In Uganda just like in other countries ,restaurants have become a cultural status as the are visited all individuals in all ares and of all social classes these survive on other businesses as workers from all businesses come to the restaurant for food .In Uganda restaurants rage for all sizes with the commonest ones being the small ones which are commonly referred to as tonyiinira. These provide food at the cheapest prices in the country which has increased its demand due to their being affordable.

2. Hawkers .
Hawkers in Uganda have been increasing in number for years now .These are found mainly in big cities like Kampala,Mbarara ,Jinja where they always come from villages with little capital but trying to look for greener pastures .In Kampala alone an estimated 100000 hawkers are found in the capital city of Uganda though these have faced with the challenge of being chased out of the capital by KCCA

1. Retailers.
These sell goods for final consumption in relatively smaller quantities . In Uganda ,retail is the commonest business in the country at least each villages in Uganda has 3 or more retail shops more than any other business. This is so because instead of mini supermarket say like in country ares in the UK here in Uganda they instead have smaller retail shops to minimise prices.
