1.  BEING TIBALISTIC

Tribalism in the most hated vice in the country by far. Uganda has very many tribes in the country and to live with each other mutually has been at its core for years , this was developed in 1986 after the change of presidency . Introducing laws to bound this vice that had failed the country grappling with it for years and the whole country is now vigilant against the vice

2. BEING RACIST

Just like any black community racism in Uganda is one of the most hated vice and it is considered extremely rude to do such a thing. Uganda has communities including the indians and some little population of whites and tourists but has managed to fight the vice and there are only a handful of such scenarios that have been found in Uganda.

3. DISRESPECT OF ELDERS

Disrespect of elders just like in any other African setting is considered very rude as these are the pillars of various communities and their perspective is one that is taken by other with great respect. And as a person elders should be considered and taken with great care . Ugandans also have a belief that disrespect to them can lead to an everlasting curse that can haunt you for years.

4. BEING IMPOLITE TO CHILDREN 

As a person in the community being polite to the innocent children should be your priority , this simple concept is what is followed in the communities in Africa and also in Uganda . Being impolite to children on this basis is considered very rude and should be avoided by any one in the African community

5. BEING ANTISOCIAL WITH PEOPLE

Being antisocial is something that will affect your personality not only in Uganda but throughout the African continent as a whole therefore it is for the person’s good that they are able to connect with the people and provide that human and personal contact with other people in the country . However some don’t consider it rude and may take it as part of you character

 

6. FAILING TO BE THANKFUL

Most of these are cultural norms and disciplines that existing most of  African culture and saying thank you is part of these taught disciplines that people in Ugandans have been taught to respect and honour in all their time and also as a visitor or tourist should never forget to say thank you when given a favour or help from another individual.

 

7. FAILING TO GREET ELDERS ESPECIALLY IN VILLAGES

This cultural norm has existed in Uganda all the time , greeting elders is considered a form of giving respect in the country and so as a person if you want to be respectful in a village setting consider greeting elders around if know the language  

 

8. USE OF ABUSIVE LANGUAGE

This is by no doubt considered rude throughout the whole world and it is no exceptional in Uganda . This is extremely rude in the country and elders handle it with vigilance as they consider it to spoil children’s character and it cannot be allowed by parents and officials

 

9. NOT REPLYING TO GREETINGS

In Uganda when greeted one is expected to answer this is according to the country’s culture and so someone failing to reply may be considered rude if they are capable but instead refuse deliberately refuser ,then Ugandans in general consider it disperse

10. BEING OFFENSIVE

Being can be being abusive to people is not only considered rude in Uganda but in the whole of Africa. This may also being rude to women which by the not allowed in the law.
