Uganda as a country has very low crime rate in the past decade attributed to the rising security developments in the country which has the highest budget in the country .
In 2021 the Uganda security sector was allocated the lion’s share in the Uganda national budget which was a whooping 3.4 trillion Ugandan shillings , this alone has boosted the countries security in the past years and has made it the most secure country in East Africa.
Then the question remains is Uganda safe for solo female tourists and the answer is yes . Uganda might be a developing country buh peace and order for the past 36 years has been at the centre of the country’s development .
Kampala which is the capital city of the country is also safe except the petty crimes like pickpocketing which are still a challenge in the capital because of it being highly populated. The capital has over 3 million people during day and some times may raise up to 4 million .
The government is however fighting very hard to eliminate even these simple crimes and make Kampala 100% safe for all tourists and nationals.
