The president of Uganda while speaking to the France 24 addressed top East African insecurities in South Sudan ,Mozambique and Eastern Congo.
The South Sudan internal army needs to step up and fight for itself because as Uganda we do not believe in external military interference in politics of a different country ,President Museveni said. He continued by saying the Ugandan army was about to leave the country but was asked to stay for sometime but soon would consider moving if the country improves on its ability to manage conflict.
On Mozambique he mentioned that the problem in Northern Mozambique cannot be solved without handling the problem in Eastern Congo and so as Uganda they were focusing on the problem first before sending troops to Northern Mozambique.
‘For Eastern Congo Uganda is still in talks with the country’s leadership to see where intervention is required however we are waiting for the government to have the final say on how to handle the ADF ‘ Museveni explained.
