Gateway Bus catches fire in Mpigi on Kampala Masaka road
A bus belonging to Gateway buses travelling from Kampala to Kabale today afternoon caught fire as it was travelling which brought about panic as people received the news in bits and weren´t sure of what had caused this high brand company bus to burn.

However it has now been confirmed that the incident was caused by the engine of the bus which burnt after overheating when it had reached Kamengo, Mpigi district.

Our reporter from Mpigi told Hardrock media that all passengers had been evacuated safely before the fire could catch the whole bus as the fault had been realized by the burning scent that was being heard by the passengers of the bus.
Official communication from Uganda police and Bus Company have not yet been recorded but are expected to give that final analysis of the situation as investigations are being carried out on the incident.
