Anti-Corruption Unit Uganda of Judith Nakalema.

 

 

The Anti Corruption Unit of State House Uganda is the official government set by the President through the State house in 2018 to investigate all corruption cases in Uganda.

The Institution is headed by Colonel Judith Nakalema who was appointed by President of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in 2018.

Methods used by the institution.

ACU State house uses cost effective methods and cordial relation with other Anti-graft Agencies to full fill its values through research by the top military trained officers.

The Unit also uses Presidential executive authority provided for by parliament to tackle complex and inaccessible cases that included high private Equity firms.

 

 

Role of the Anti-Corruption Unit Uganda.

The Unit looks at all cases of corruption that from government funds misuse to citizens(Ugandans) exploitation and mistreat by private firms and organization.

The institution also tackles high profile offenders who misuse the offices provided by the government.

 

All its activities follow the corruption act which is;
ACT 6 2009

An Act to provide for the effectual prevention of corruption in both the public and the private sector, to repeal and replace the Prevention of Corruption Act, to consequentially amend the Penal Code Act, the Leadership Code Act and to provide for other related matters.

This is stated by law is the core principle of the Anti-Corruption Unit Uganda.
