Government to increase Nurse Tutor’s salaries

 

The Government has revealed its plan to increase salaries for all institutions for nurse tutors. The government revealed its plan for the initiative on 6thDecember 6, 2021 as part of the bigger plan to improve health activities in Uganda which it launched in 2020.

 The plan was launched as part of the incentive by the government plan of 2021 in which it is to increase the number of Tutors in the country which would in turn increase the number of Nurses and Midwifes in the country together with the Uganda Nurses and midwife Council which promised to work with the government on the initiative.

The information was released by the Minister for higher education, John Muhingo who also said that the plan was to create balance in the income by all civil workers in the health sector for both nurses and midwives who had long been neglected in salary by the government workers.

The minister was speaking at an Event in Kampala where he also stated that they were looking into increasing salaries for those who were I the staff for Health sector Education and were a priority to the executive of the government.
