 Mugisha Muntu Warns Government on Reopening

The President for the Alliance for National Transformationhas warned the ministry of Health on hurried opening of the economy in his speech of the Monthly National address the Leader stated that the government together with the Ministry Of Health should study the situation in Uganda before hurried opening fully the economy.

Muntu said that the ministry should take a leaf from the second corona virus wave which affected the country hardly causing a second lockdown and a surge in the cases which was a very big challenge to the health sector at large.

Such cases should be looked at before the opening in January where the economy is expected to fully opened

The General also advised the ministry to reinforce awareness campaigns for the public to be fully aware that the virus is not done yet but rather Ugandans should learn on how to live with the virus as we head to full reopening of the economy and Education sector.  

This came as part of the multiple advice that is being provide by the Uganda opposition to the ruling government providing alternative solution to the COVID 19 challenge that has been in Uganda for the last 2 years limiting the Education and entertainment sectors in the last 2 challenging years to the Government of Uganda.
