Uganda receives 20 million dollar from UK

 

 

Uganda is set to receive part of 20 million dollars set aside to fight Gender Based violence in all common wealth countries. This was announced at a program held at the Parliament in Kampala Uganda by the female Parliamentarians.

The information was confirmed by the British high commissioner to Uganda Kate Airey who was also at the mentorship and leadership program for female parliamentarians

Airey also mentioned that it is important to empower women and girls, all females to stop Gender based violence in the country.

Gender based violence is one of Uganda’s main social difficulties that has been in the country which the commissioner of UK mentioned and said that United Kingdom was prepared to provide all the possible help to Uganda.
