Uganda to send UPDF in South Sudan

Uganda`s Security to South Sudan.

 

 

Uganda is known in the East African region as the leader in maintaining peace in the region with partners such as Kenya and Rwanda.

In the bid to achieve these peace goals the country has been working tirelessly for the since 2006 where Uganda decided that it giving in part of the army Uganda Peoples Defense forces(UPDF) to assist in the security of countries that have been affected by these disorganizers in the different countries in the region including Somalia, Mozambique Western Congo and South Sudan where there was political instability.

On 3rdDecember 2021 the Minister for Cabinet Affairs of South Sudan together with the Envoy of Kenya were hosted at the State House for a meeting to discuss the peace process in their Country South Sudan.

The officials’ were hosted together with special Envoys of Norway, USA and UK to South Sudan who were to resolve a way Uganda could help in the security and maintaining the peace in South Sudan as its role to provide security with the UPDF who are the pioneers of peace in the country.

Uganda is set to maintain the army in Kenya and continue to provide more support the country.

In turn Uganda is to open up South Sudan for Ugandans and Kenya for trade for its nationals to thrive on the abundant market in South Sudan, This by a source close to the President.
