      1.      Who is Bobi Wine?

Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine is a Ugandan pop star, Politician, singer song writer and Activist. He is the Chairman of the National Unity Platform political Party in Uganda and the leading opposition party in Uganda in Parliament. He is one of the 3 biggest Recording artists of the 21st Century together with counterparts Jose Chameleone and Bebe Cool.

 

      2.      Where was Bobi Wine born?

Bobi Wine was born in Nkozi Hospita in Uganda where he lived with his mother I Kamwokya Kampala before he had started his education

      3.      Where did Bobi Wine study from?

Bobi studied from Kitante Hill School where he received his UCE Certificate in 1995 where he continued to Kololo Senior Secondary School where he sat and received hi Uganda Certificate of Education before moving to Makerere University to pursue a Diploma in Music Dance and Drama. Bobi Wine continued his studies in 2016 at International University of East Africa with a Bachelor’s Degree in law.

With his origins from the Ghettos of Kampala Kamwokya Bobi Wine was inspired to transform his communities, in 2005 where he self-claimed himself ghetto president before he organized elections in the ghetto 2007 in which he was elected the leader of Ghettos Ghetto President of Kampala by his peers with the view of him changing life and inspiring those in the ghetto. He held the position until 2016 where he was to turn into government elective politics

Pop star Bobi Wine married Barbie Kyagulanyi in on 27th August 2011 at Rubaga Cathedral where their wedding was streamed on over 8 cable television’s channels in Uganda and it was watched by an estimated 5 million people in Uganda. It was attended by the queen of Buganda Kingdom Mama Nabbagereka in which she graced the wedding with her attendance.

 

 

8.      Who are Bobi Wine Brothers?

Bobi has many siblings but the popular brothers Eddy Yawe Mikie Wine and Dax Vibes are one of his most recognized brother who have all built most of their fortunes over the last years since 2003 with 2 of his brother being among the top 50 musicians in Uganda that is Eddy Yawe and Mikie Wine.

Kyagulanyi started Politics in 2005 where he self-claimed and appointed himself Ghetto president before arranging elections where he was voted by his peers to lead to the Ghettos of Kampala a journey he carried up to 2016 where he joined government elective politics

 

10.   When did Bobi Wine start People Power (now NUP)?

The people Power Movement was started in 2017 after Bobi Wine had been elected as Membere of Parliament for the during period when the bill was being made to remove the age limit in the constitution which raised outrage as opposition which opposed the change with leadership of Bobi Wine at the fore front.

Formed in Arua where there where there were by elections for Member of Parliament.

 

11.   What is Bobi Wine net worth?

Bobi Wine has a net worth of 42 billion Ugandan shillings which is over 12 million US Dollars with his biggest income and revenue stream being his extremely large music catalogue spanning over 23 years and his concerts and businesses. Which have been one of his biggest sources of income since 2013.

Bobi Wine grossed over 297 million Ugandan shilling from his music only with businesses aside in 2012 which was the highest grossing from his music only in his career.
