 Activist Nana Mwafika arrested by Ugandan Police.

On 6th January 6, 2022 activist Nana Mwafrika(real name Nana Annette Namata) was arrested by the Ugandan Police at the Uganda Human Rights Commission(UHRC) offices where she had moved to check on her case CTR/87/2020.

Nana was with her two children whom she had moved with to work on her own case according to the Uganda Human Rights Commission.

However reports claim that Miss Annet was arrested over her case to petition through the UHRC over the case of activist Kakwenza who was arrested earlier this week over cases of Abuse of Freedom of speech and being offensive.

The Uganda Human Rights Commission however has denied being against Nana´s case and mentioned that she was on a different case as she arrived at the their offices and that the Commission is against any form of injustices against the Ugandan Citizens and it was open to receiving any petitions at all its countrywide offices.
