Butabika land wrangles solved by Co Judith Nakalema
In an exchange with the area citizens about the tensions in the about the land in Butabika in which the people were people claimed ownership of the land against landlord titleholders, colonel Judith Nakalema of the State House anti-Corruption Unit ended it deciding that not one of the parties had legal ownership of the land.
The locals who are Plot owners were however not contented with her decision and resolution as their property had been earlier destroyed and she had not provided solution for the repayment of their property including houses that were destroyed by the rich landlords (they termed the Mafia)

The land owners with land titles in the area were promised that their land titles are going to be unturned and cancelled because as the Colonel stated that they acquire the land titles in an illegal way because the land is located in swamp which the government stated is illegal to own.
The colonel however assured the locals and plot owners that the Government through the ministry of lands was preparing a long-term solution for the citizens who had been earlier has chased away from the land where they settling.
She stated that Environmental Police has taken command of security to ensure that there is no further exchange and conflict between the different land owners over the land.
