Ugandan taxis reduce their transport fares
The government representative for taxi and Bus operators confirmed that taxis and buses are to reduce prices back to their normal prices where they were operating in 2019.
While speaking at the National Media Address at Uganda Media Centre the Nsimire informed the public that since Taxis had started operating at 100% they were required to return back to their old prices and it was something they were pushing all drivers and public transport companies to operate according to the government statement.

´We have agreed that on top of the fares that we were charging in 2019, we are going to add something because of so many factors that changed´ Nsimire(the taxi and Bus representative) ´the margin increase ranges from UGX 5000 to UGX 10,000. We want the passengers to bear with us. ´
This was during the Media address of the public of the full reopening of the public transport in the whole country.
