WHAT IS THE ROLEX IN UGANDA?
The Rolex is a popular fast food in Uganda. The fast food is the most popular food in Uganda whose recipe was originally invented in Uganda. Its popularity is because of its cheap price as it costs 3000 Ugandan Shillings which is approximately 1 US dollar in the country and fastness to prepare which made it a darling to the youth in the country over the last decade. The fried eggs are placed on top of a fried Chapatti, with vegetables and cut tomatoes then all are folded together to make the Rolex
Most people always ask why it is called the Rolex just like the popular Watch brand. The is easy as it is common in Uganda and it is with ingredients where the name was adapted from the core ingredient which is the rolled eggs which can be spelt as Rolled eggx which can be simplified as ROLEX thus its name.
Originally tourists in Uganda were confused about the name but with its increased popularity and being named recently in the Guinness book of records with the biggest Rolex made, the fast food has now gained popularity as one of the biggest trade mark Food in Uganda.
The Guinness book of named the worlds largest Rolex which weighed 204 Kilograms made by popular YouTube Vlogger and podcaster Raymond Kahuma which was posted on the official twitter account of the Guinness book of Records which video went viral in Uganda and in the London United Kingdom as people who had never tried the fast food were looking for restaurants online to try the Uganda sensation.
