General Kale Kayihura full name Edward Kalekezi Kayihura is a Ugandan military general who served as the Inspector General of Police IGP of the Uganda Police Force from 2007 to 2018 when he retired from service. He is one of the founding members of the National Resistance Movement.

Kale Kayihura Studied from Buhinga Primary School where he finshed his Primary Leaving Examinations later joining Mutolere Secondary School where he received a first Grade for his Uganda Certificate of Education where was later taken to the capital Kampala where he studied his A level receiving his UACE Certificate before joining Makere University for a Bachelor of Law.
Kale Kayihura was awarded a bursary to study a masters in Law in 1978 to study a Masters in Law at London School of Economics.
