1. Who is VJ Junior?
Matovu MarySmarts popularly known as VJ Junior is a Uganda Video Jockey who translated European and USA movies to local indigenous language Luganda. VJ Junior is referred to aby many as the biggest and best VJ in Uganda. He is synonymous with translating complicated Sci-Fi movies which has gained audiences throughout Uganda.
2. When was VJ Junior born?
VJ Junior was born on 4th April 1985 in Kawempe Division in Kampala District where the VJ lived throughout his Childhood.
VJ Junior was born to parent’s father Francis Matovu Senior and his mother Harriet Nakato Nakimuli .

3. Where did VJ Junior study from?
VJ Junior studied from Bat Valley Primary School where he finished his Primary Leaving Examinations before joining Highway College and Happy hours Secondary School where he received both his UCE and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education. He dropped out after Advanced level to start his hustle.
4. When did VJ Junior start his career as a VJ?
VJ Junior started his career as a video jockey (VJ) in 2005 where he worked on his first ever project titled Air Force one of Harrison Ford which he translated first. He would later be hired by Imax Video Hall in 2006 to translate movies in then Video hall.
VJ Junior started his independent career in 2008 where he started working with Q ‘s Videography which was owned by his brother before he could grow it to a big business

VJ Junior is married to wife Patience Nakitende Matovu whom he has been together with since 2008 when they meet and started dating as a couple in 2008.
The couple of VJ Junior has three children with two sons and a daughter. Daughter Fretchen Gold Love and son Quatine Generous Matovu.

VJ Junior was elected the councilor LC 3 in the 2016 elections where he represented the people of Bwaise in the general elections where he went on to represent the people for the rest of the term
