Moses Matovu is a Ugandan rcomposer and Leader of Legendary Music Band Afrigo Band in Uganda. He is one of the eight founding Members of the Banda and he is regarded as one of the fathers of Music in Uganda.

Moses Matovu was born in 19 June1949 in Kamapala Uganda where the composer lived throughout his childhood while he pursued his education.

Moses Matovu studied from Namirembe Primary School before joining Kibuli Secondary School and Pillai’s Secondary School where he received both his UCE and UACE certificates.
