Hard Rock Media sat down with fast-rising model Jemaimah Norah real name Namutebi Norah Jemimah in an exclusive interview to talk about her life as a model and actress in the Ugandan industry here is what we talked about.
1. Who are you as Jemaimah Norah?
Well, am, Jemaimah Norah real name is Namutebi Norah Jemimah a Ugandan female runway, commercial, print, promotional, High fashion(Editorial) and parts model.
2. When were you born?
I was born on September 12, 2000, in Kampala, Uganda, where I lived with my parents and siblings throughout my childhood.
3. What is your tribe?
My tribe is a Muganda from the Baganda tribe with all my origins from Buganda in Central Uganda from both my parents who are Baganda.

4. Who are your parents?
I have both my parents including my mother Nampijja Rosemary Ssemanda and my father Mr Bwewusa Paul.
5. What is your educational background?
In my education, I studied at Kawempe Modern where I finished my PLE Exams joined St Charles Lwanga then Kisubi High school finishing my Ordinary Level. I studied my A level at St Mathias Kalemba . I am currently a student at Metropolitan International University pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

6. When did you start your modelling?
Well, I started modelling in High school where I competed for Miss High School but professionally I started in 2019 where I later signed with Amavis Modelling Agency jump-starting my career.
7. Which type of modelling do you do?
I do different types of modelling including runway, commercial, editorial, parts, print and promotional modelling which I have been doing since 2019.
8. Where have worked so far in Modelling?
I have done modelling with Vumbula Uganda Festival which was a project I took head-on. I did modelling at Moreli Fashion Week and also My Dream Fashion Runway which I did under Amvis modelling Agency.
9. Have you ever been signed under any agency?
I worked with Amavis Modelling agency from 2019 to 2021 where our contract ended in 2021 then I started working as an independent brand.

10. What have been some of the biggest challenges in modelling?
Well, the biggest challenge I can say I have faced is unprofessionalism where you work with some institutions which end up not necessarily paying you. So not paying is a big challenge in the industry.
11. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I see myself working with big brands in Kampala and Uganda as a whole, I see myself with big brands throughout Africa and even outside Africa with all the big international Brands
12. What advice do you have for young aspiring models in Uganda?
I would say, (hesitates) what is really important in an industry like this, is to be really passionate about what you are doing. To add on, you should not be very disparate in the industry for things to work out and lastly just be consistent.
