        1.      Who is Joel Ssenyonyi?

Joel Ssenyonyi is a Ugandan Politician, former journalist and Spokesperson to the National Unity Platform political party based in Uganda. He is the serving Member of Parliament of Nakawa West voted in 2021.

  

          2.      When was Joel Ssenyonyi born?

Joel Ssenyonyi was born on 20th December 1986 at Mulago Hospital in Kampala.

Joel Senyonyi´s father is Mr. Joseph Basekezi and his mother is Mrs. Dorothy Nankunda. Senyonyi grew up in Kyengera a Kampala suburb where he lived with his family

            3.      What is Joel Ssenyonyi tribe?

Joel Senyonyi´s Tribe is Baruuli and a Muruuli by Tribe which he got from his Father Joseph Basekezi who is a Muganda. However Joel Ssenyonyi´s Mother is not a Muganda but rather one with Rwandese origins.

         4.      What is Joel Ssenyonyi education Background?

Joel Senyonyi studied at Trinity Academy Primary School Bukoto where he sat his Primary Leaving Examinations.

He joined St Lawrence Citizens High School where he received his Uganda Certificate of Education FOR Ordinary Level education. Then receiving his Uganda advanced Certificate of Education at the same school St Lawrence Citizens after Advanced level.

 

          5.      When did Joel Ssenyonyi start his journalism journey?

Joel Senyonyi started journalism at UBC (Uganda Broadcasting Corporation) where he started during his senior Six Vacation offered to assist during the news show before he was later hired as a news anchor at the station where he moved to join NTV Uganda of Nation Media.

 

        6.      When did Joel Ssenyonyi join  Politics and NUP?

Joel Ssenyonyi joined NUP officially on 6th May 2019 after he was voted the official Spokesperson for People Power Movement which was then a movement against the ruling party before joining THE NUP Party.

After resigning from his job at the Nation Media NTV he was appointed by the movement leader Bobi Wine to lead the Spokes team at NUP which position he still holds until the current day.

 

          7.      When was Joel Senyonyi voted Member of Parliament?

Joel Ssenyonyi was voted Member of Parliament on 14th January 2021 during the general Elections where he was voted in the National Unity Platform party defeating Margret Zziwa Nantongo of National Resistance Movement (NRM).

            8.      Who is Joel Ssenyonyi’s wife?

Joel Ssenyonyi is married to wife Fabrice Nagawa Senyonyi whom they married in June 2020 in holy matrimony

His wife gave birth to a bouncing baby girl on 26th September who was Joel Ssenyonyi´s first child whom he is very proud of.

 

         9.      How many children does Joel Ssenyonyi have?

Joel Senyonyi together with his wife Nagawa have one daughter Senyonyi, who was born in 2022 after their second year in marriage.

Joel Senyonyi receives a salary of 30 Million Ugandan shillings monthly FROM Parliament for his position as MP of Nakawa West. He also receives a Salary from NUP for his Position as the Spokes Person of the Political Party.

 

         11.   Where and what is Joel Ssenyonyi house?

Jole Senyonyi owns a House in Nakawa where he stays with his family including his Wfe and DAUGHTER. He is building a House in Kampala suburbs where he will move after its construction.
