President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is the Current President of Uganda and has Been since 1986 becoming the longest serving President of the County by far. He has won over 7 presidential election although some have been controversial and other far clear from his opposition.
Imagine the guy has been for 36 years that over 7 US presidents from 86 and you say You just going to take him out easily. The oppositions needs to embrace this challenge respect.
The Opposition he has faced
For the Presidential Seat President Museveni has faced various opposition leaders in the Presidential seat since1986 however no one had come close until the 2006 general elections with him facing then Federal for Democratic Change Leader Col Kizza Besigye who came at the right time when Museveni’s support had declined.
Why Kizza Besigye was a worthy opponent in 2006.
Kizza Besigye came at the right time when Museveni had ruled for a lot of time and his popularity was declining with a whole new Bunch of younger voters.
Besigye was also part of the 1986 liberation army and was a retired Military officer which meant he possessed vast experienced with military leadership and assured security to Ugandans which had long been their biggest threat.
Besigye answered the Tribal political question in Uganda which is a Big factor with him having alliances with leaders throughout Uganda from Buganda , Ankole, Iteso, Langi, Basoga and all other Tribes in Uganda.
Undermining President Museveni.
After the 2006 presidential elections President Museveni addressed most of the problems that had almost failed him in 2006 making him stronger.
However his opposition have then relied on constant factor not working hard to make themselves stronger in their biggest factors. This includes them relying on popularity and mainly mainstream media without real alliances since the 2006 elections including the recent Presidential elections with Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine.
