1. Who is Allan Ssewanyana?
Allan Aloysius Ssewanyana is a Ugandan Politician, businessman and
journalist. He is the Member of Parliament for Makindye West Divion in Kampala
District Uganda. He was voted under the National Unity Platform Party.
2. Where was Allan Ssewanyana born?
Allan Ssewanyana was born on 26th November 1986 Nsambya
Hospital to father Aloysius Ssendawula and mother Sarah Ssendawula who stayed
in Kibuye a Kampala suburb. He was born in a family of 9 with 2 brothers and 4
sisters.

3. Where did Allan Ssewanyana study from?
Allan Ssewanyana studied at Nakivubo Blue Primary School where he did his
Primary leaving Examination. He joined St. Mathias Kalemba Senior Secondary
School for his O level receiving the Uganda Certificate of Education in 2002 and
receiving his Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education at Mengo senior School
in 2005.
Ssewanyana studied at Makerere University where he received his Bachelor
of Science in Human Resource Management.

Allan Ssewanyana is married to wife Lydia Ssewanyana whom they have been
together since 2015 when their relationship was away from the public.
5. When did Allan Ssewanyana start sports
journalism?
Allan Ssewanyana started his career at Top Radio Uganda 89.6 FM where he
was employed as a Sports editor for their segment of radio in his Senior Six
Vacation. Allan was later offered contract at NBS TV of Next Media where he was
a TV Presenter attaining popularity across the country.

6. When did Allan Ssewanyana start politics?
Allan Ssewanyana started politics in his High school where he was a
student leader (prefect) before being elected into the guild Council at
Makerere University.
He would join elective politics in 2011 where he contested for Chairman
LCV for KCCA for Mkindye West and won then elected Member of Parliament in 2016
under the DP ticket for Makindye West.

Allan Ssewanyana joined National Unity Platform in 2020 before the
general Elections together with other Members of the Democratic PartY as they
moved towards the 2021 general elections.

Allan Ssewanyana was arrested in 2021 on accounts of murder and detained
by Ugandan Police after the several deaths in Maska district where people were
murdered by an organized group. This led him being taken in as a suspect.
