General Edward Katumba Wamala is a Ugandan Military
Officer and Politician. He is the Cabinet Minister of Works and Transport. He
is one of the few Military Generals in the Uganda People’s Defense Force UPDF.

19, 1956 in Bweeza Kalangala District, Ssese Islands in The Central region
where he lived throughout his early child hood before moving to Kampala for
Education.

General Katumba studied from Nkumba
University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International
Relations and Diplomacy. He then graduated with a Master Degree of Science in Strategic Leadership from the
United States Army war College.

Defense force UPDF as the NRA in 1986 before it had transitioned as a military
officer. He later worked his Way up to Major General iin 2001 after his Master’s
