Early life and family background
Zuena Kirema was born on April 4,1984 in jinja where her mother grew up from though her mother is of arab origin as the father is an African with Banyankole and Tutsi from Rwanda.
Zuena’s parents met in Arua where mom was studying nursing and dad was on business duties the two got along.
When the mom chose to go back to jinja to work after studies and the dad chose to move with her there where they gave birth to Zuena and where she grew from.
For that reason people call me a Musoga by tribe but i dont mind .
Her journey to the spotlight
At 16years old Zuena begun gaining public attention when she came to kampala with friends for a Mrs Uganda beauty pageant where she was crowned Mrs Bell 2001.
Love ,Marriage and motherhood
Zuena met singer Bebe Cool (Moses Ssali) in 2001 at Crane Chambers farewell party for Mrs Uganda.They exchanged contacts and eventually started dating. The two moved in together.
When Zuena turned 18years Bebe Cool proposed and in 2003 welcomed their first child (Alpha Ssali).
They have since had four more children in total Beata Ssali born 2008 ,Caysan Ssali born 2012, Deen Ssali born 2015, Eman Ssali born 2017.
Untold chapters of Zuena’s careers over the years
In 2011 Zuena joined the music industry releasing 2 songs (Mata and Owa Boda) which she later left saying it was only because she was bored and never intended to pursue.
Zuena later worked for NTV hosting emotional human life stories until she resigned due to pregnancy and focus on family.
Zuena initially wanted tourism though in 2012 a friend of hers encouraged her to take her baking skills serious so with less interest in baking as a career she begun with 3millionugx and it was doing well so she decided to reinvest and continue with the business which now has three branches (Ntinda, Kyanja and wandegeya). In 2016 she expanded to event decor which also begun thriving after she decorated husbands concert at serena 2016.
Zuena also has a clothing and beauty brand (Zuena Apparel)
Education and Personal growth
Zuena joined Kasanga Institute for tourism while she had just given birth still breastfeeding so she dropped out in her second year of campus as she couldn’t balance school with motherhood despite Bebe’s promise to care for the child she chose she would continue education after raising the kids and in 2024 she went back to complete her books at Makerere University .
