Enkuuka Festival Uganda Review
Enkuuka is an annual one day festival organized every 31st
December of every year in Lubiiri Mengo in the King’s Palace by the Buganda
Kingdom together with CBS FM radio to wrap up the previous year and open a new
year with a Celebration His Majesty the Kabaka of Buganda.

Events on the
Festival
The events hosts all
popular Ugandan artist who perform throughout the day from when gates open at 9
am in the morning of every 31st of December.
The biggest music artsw to head the event iover the yearts
include Dr Jose Chameleone, Bebe Cool, Bobi Wine, Sheebah Kalungi, Spice Diana,
Fik Fameica, Mesach Ssemakula Haruna Mubiru, among other Uganda’s biggest
artists in the country.
The Enkuuka receives the highest number of people in Uganda
for all Events organized on 31st December with its highest record
number in 2019 where Enkuuka received a whopping 50,000 people throughout the
day which was the highest for any event organized in Uganda.

The Buganda Kabaka on
Enkuuka
The Enkuuka event is
graced by the his Majesty the King of
Buganda Kingdom every year since it was started by the Kingdom in 1891 as a
ceremony to welcome a new year by Buganda Kingdom with its King the Kabaka.
Enkuuka was started by Kabaka Mutesa 1 in 1891 where he
celebrate the coming of a new after the meeting and coming of the British missionaries.
It later became a tradition where the King would open a new year with his
People which was launched into Enkuuka
