Who is Kristiana Kayanja
Kristiana Kayanja also known as Kristiana Nakato Kayanja is one of the three children born to the well known Ugandan Pastors, Robert Kayanja and Jessica Kayanja of the Kayanja ministries, Miracle Centre Cathedral. She is 29 years old and has a twin, Kirstein Kayanja, a lawyer by profession who founded the Grads by Kirstein Kayanja. She is an award winner and won the Youth Fashion Designer of the year, 2023 award of the Youth Space of Uganda Awards.
Early childhood and battle with cancer
Kristiana has had a delicate childhood as she suffered from brain cancer when she was around six years old. She underwent treatment and eventually successfully recovered from the deadly disease
Education
She studied fashion and design in London and also attended the Kampala International School Uganda (KISU) for her early education.
Relationships
Kristiana shows a very strong bond with her mother, father, twin sister and brother, Robert Kayanja Junior who is married to Marlena Gailis Kayanja with whom they welcomed a daughter, Mila Rae Kayanja on the 21st of May,2026 at 2:41pm. There has been a rumour of the designer having taken a step towards marriage but no further communication or action has come from the family.
Career
Kristiana is a fashion designer and is also the founder and CEO of the Kristiana Fashions brand which she launched on the 16th of December, 2020 at Serena Hotel. Her debut collection introduced designs intended for both men and women covering both formal and casual wear. The launch attracted public figures, fashion enthusiasts and members of Uganda’s social scene. Her parents also modelled some of her designs.
Lifestyle and interests
She is passionate about fashion and design, wildlife, travelling and music and has been spotted with several musicians such as Nina Rose, B2C, etc.
Kristiana and Sheila Gashumba
The connection between the two became known due to the public disagreement between media personality Sheila Gashumba and Robert Kayanja Junior. Sheila recalled being invited to promote Kristiana’s fashion launch in December claiming that Pastor Jessica Kayanja offered her 2 million Ugandan Shillings to grace the event with her presence and for social media promotion. She praised Kristiana’s talent as a designer irrespective of the conflict that was ongoing.
