DJ Nimrod is a Ugandan DJ and radio host widely known in Uganda because of his deejaying skills.
What Is DJ Nimrod’s Age?
Nimrod Nabeeta, popularly known as DJ Nimrod, was born on June 19 1987, to Mr. and Mrs. Nabeeta in Ibanda District, who later relocated to Kampala after his birth. Although he grew up in Kampala, he was raised by his mother and rarely saw his father during his upbringing.
DJ Nimrod is 39 years old.
Education Background
While in Kampala Nimrod attended Christ the King Nursery School before joining Buganda Road Primary School for his primary education. He later joined Kitante Hill School for his O-Level education, completing his A-Level studies at St. Stephen’s Secondary School in Bweyogerere.
His interest in entertainment developed during his time at St. Stephen’s Secondary School, where he served as an entertainment prefect and became increasingly interested in music and deejaying.
He would organise school entertainment activities and spend time around DJs, which is where he began learning how the equipment worked. Rather than simply watching other DJs perform, Nimrod wanted to learn the craft himself.
He later joined Multitech Business School where he pursued a Diploma in Business Administration after initially joining a Computer Science class which he did not complete.
From Carrying Speakers to Becoming a DJ
After completing his secondary education, Nimrod joined Image Sounds Disco a mobile entertainment company where he worked under experienced DJ Frank Kibuule, popularly known as DJ Frankie.
His first job was not to perform in front of audiences but to help carry speakers, set up equipment and keep crowds entertained while the main DJs worked.
Although the job came with a small payment of UGX 5,000 per night, Nimrod considered it an opportunity to learn rather than a way of making money. By spending time around experienced DJs he gradually learned how to operate mixing equipment, control music and entertain audiences. He also looked up to established DJs such as DJ Shiru whose skills inspired him to improve his own.
His dedication eventually earned him opportunities to perform and in 2007 he began playing at Victoria Tavern along Kampala Road before moving to other entertainment spots including Club La Beaujolais, Virgin Island and Club Amnesia, establishing himself in Kampala’s nightlife scene.

Nimrod initially hosted a programme called Midmorning Tukoone, which aired on weekdays between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. The show combined music, listener interaction and relationship discussions.
One of its most recognisable segments was the Love Doctor hour during which listeners called in to seek relationship advice, share romantic experiences and sometimes ask him to help resolve misunderstandings with their partners.
Through this segment Nimrod became popularly known as the Love Doctor. He also served as Galaxy FM’s brand and promotions manager.
