Artin Pro whose real name is Martin Musoke was born on October 1,1993 to Rose Namutebi. He grew up grew up in a family with a strong connection to music where his mother played the piano, while several of his relatives participated in church choirs. Growing up around music helped introduce him to the art before he began pursuing it professionally.

Artin Pro’s musical career began taking shape in 2015, during his Senior Six vacation, when a visit to producer John Mary’s studio sparked his interest in music production.
The singer who Became Producer
Artin Pro did not initially want to become a music producer. His first ambition was to become a singer, but the cost of recording music made it difficult for him to pursue that dream independently .
In 2015, during his Senior Six vacation, he began learning music production from producer John Mary. The experience introduced him to the technical side of making music and gave him an opportunity to develop skills.
After learning the basics of music production at John Mary’s Studio, he spent about a year improving his skills. During this period, he also worked as a ghost producer on songs that were not publicly credited to him, giving him an opportunity to learn the craft before becoming widely recognised.
Rather than remaining limited by the cost of recording, Artin Pro began learning how to create the music he wanted to hear and he could help other artists turn their ideas into finished songs

Artin pro working at keiton Records
In 2016, he moved to Keiton Records, a studio in Makindye where he began working on projects with different artists. One of his early projects was Omulembe, a collaboration involving several musicians, including Fik Fameica. The experience helped him build connections and gain confidence in his abilities.
These early years were important in shaping Artin Pro’s career. Before his name became associated with major hits, he spent time learning, working behind the scenes and building relationships within the industry.
The Song that opened doors
Artin Pro’s career began gaining wider attention through his work with Ugandan singer Fik Fameica. One of the songs associated with this breakthrough was Byenyenya, which helped introduce his production work to a broader audience. The song became an important step in building his reputation within Uganda’s music industry.
Working with Fik Fameica gave Artin Pro an opportunity to demonstrate his ability to create sounds that suited the artist’s style. As his name became more familiar, he went on to work with other musicians including Karole Kasita and these collaborations expanded his experience and strengthened his position as a producer working with different artists in Uganda.
Moving to Jahlive Studios
After gaining recognition while working at Keiton Records in late 2017 Artin Pro later joined Jahlive Studios, founded by producer Frank Mugerwa, popularly known as Frank Jahlive.
His time at Jahlive Studios introduced him to more artists, including Sheebah , Karol Kasita song Yaka and Rickman Manrick with their first collaboration as a song called “Naki’’.Rickman also became a close friend and supporter, later gifting Artin his first iPhone and paying him well for his production work.
Working at Jahlive gave Artin further opportunities to expand his connections and build his reputation beyond his earlier collaborations hence decided to build Axtra Nations.
Building his own brand of Axtra Nation

In 2019, Artin Pro took another important step in his career by establishing Axtra Nation Studio. By then, he had built relationships with artists who trusted his production skills, and some of them followed him to his new studio like Rickman Manrick. This gave him a foundation to continue working independently and build his own name in the industry.
Axtra Nation also grew beyond audio production and began offering videography, photography, artist management and personnel management services and through Axtra Nation, he created a platform where different creative services could operate alongside music production.
From Music Producer to Industry Leader
In July 2024, Artin Pro was among the stakeholders elected to the board of the Uganda Performing Rights Society (UPRS), where he represented the interests of audio producers positioning him in a different role from the one he had built through producing songs. The organisation is responsible for protecting music rights and collecting and distributing royalties to eligible rights holders.
In March 2026, Artin attracted attention for a decision that reflected his concern for fellow producers. He directed UPRS to channel the royalties saying his decision was influenced by the vulnerability of families left behind when music creators die, even as their work continues to benefit the industry like families of two late producers, Danz Kumapeesa and Skills on the Beat.
Artin Pro’s Journey So Far
Artin Pro’s journey in Uganda’s music industry shows how a young man who initially wanted to become a singer found his place behind the scenes as a music producer.
Artin Pro’s story is therefore not only about the hit songs associated with his name. It is also about building a career in music production and taking on responsibilities beyond the recording studio and this shows an example how a producer can develop from learning the craft to becoming involved in the wider business and welfare of the industry.
